Aug 13, 2010I'm trying to lern VS 2010 from VB 6 and one of the things i'm hawing a problem whid is control array.In vb 6 if you create a text box it's named "Text1" and if you yust copy it and paste it it renames to "Text1(0)" and the new one's name is "Text1(0)" and the code would lock like this

Nov 18, 2010I made a form with text boxes in a 6x6 square pattern. It will do a streamreader from a text file a number that indicates the size of the array. Then fill in the boxes with the numbers of the array. Then it will calculate the rows and columns to see if they add up to a single answer. Then it will display to an output window if it is a magic square or not. Meaning if all rows and columns add up to a single number its magic. If they dont add up to the same number then its not magic. Then it will repeat this check and output from the information of the other arrays from the text file.
I know how to code for the streamreader and get it to add the rows and columns. Im not sure about what code I need so it can check the answer if its magic or not and repeat it till the end.

Aug 8, 2011I am facing an important problem with the LineShape control (installed with the Visual Basic Power Pack) . The problem is that in design time once I have "Sent to back" some controls (other controls, like text boxes), I can no longer select them! The controls get stuck on the form and I can't select them anymore! Even if I select those controls from the Properties window, I still can't do anything with them (like move them over the form etc). Right now I am using VS 2008. However maybe this problems doesn't appear on VS 2010?

This involves the customer giving the employee information such as name, address, postcode etc and the employee inputting that information into text boxes and combo boxes that are in the application.
What I would like to be able to do is after the customers information is given over the phone, I need to be able to send that information to a database which will probably most likely be done by button click. In this case, I'm using Microsoft Access. I'm also hoping that I can do this within Visual Basic coding.
The database is set out with multiple tables which include a customer table and a ticket table and both have multiple fields such as first name, surname in the customers table. Both of these tables are in use with the information that the customer gives over the phone.
I've already asked on other forums and people are where replying giving me third party programs that I could use to implement this, something I don't really want to do.

I createdindows Form application, built it and deployed it with no problems. However, when I added a small block of code, re-built the app and went to add the app to the Project Output Group in the file system editor the project was not in the Project drop down list. I closed the Setup project and deleted it from the project folder and checked my code and re-built the app and tried the Set Up project again with the same result

Feb 3, 2011I am trying to find a set of missing values between an array and cell values from a DataGridView. The array is a set of numbers from 1 to a user-entered maximum number. For example, if the user enters 10, then the array will have the values 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. The rows in the DataGridView might have values such as 2,4,6,8. I want to create a second array that would have the values 1,3,5,7,9,10. I believe I need to loop through the array values and compare them to the row values in the DataGridView. But I'm stuck on the method of either adding or removing values (or doing nothing) to the second array as the array value loops through the DataGridView. logic or some VB Code that will produce the results I'm looking for?
