One Selection At A Time From Multi List Boxes?

ok.. just as it sounds.. I'm kinda making a document portal app for work.. has 4 list boxes going to 4 different drive locations.. for cosmetic reasons I want only the last box you clicked in to show a selected item.. so if you selected box 1 item and it was hilighted and then you went to box 2 and selected something I wanted box 1 to then dissapear.
I have some code written to handle this.. but its not working so well.. since I use the SelectedIndexChanged trigger to fire off another piece of code to unselect all the other windows.. those listboxes fire their triggers also because I have to call lstWord. SelectedIndex = -1 to make it not have something selected anymore.. and when you do that.. it calls its SelectedIndexChanged and ends up deselecting everything.. so wasnt sure if anyone had done something like this before.. seems like something that would have been done before.. but as you can imagine searching the web for "multi list box select only one at a time" or something similar..gives you some strange results..

Ok, Im having trouble passing a value from one form back to another using a listbox... The user clicks a button in the main form to bring up an instance of another form (form2.show). In that form, the user then then selects a number 1-5 and then presses done:

The first list box contains the project name. Based on whatever is selected in the Projects list box, the 2nd list box is generated with Custodian names associated with that project. I am having problems generating the 3rd list box. This holds the data sources associated with whatever is selected in the 2nd list box (Custodians)

I am developing a program that makes it easier for users to log on to a website and search for specific data. I have the first portion finished in which I have a form with the Ax Web Browser control.
The web browser control navigates to a local website and automatically logs in for the end user. This is done by using code which automatically fills in the username and password and then submits the form to logon using something similar to this: WebBrowser1.Document.Forms.Item(, 0).elements("txtUsername").value = "user"
Once logged on - there is a search page which contains a combo box and list box. I am trying to set specific values for the combo box and list boxes.For example - the combo box on the website is titled: cbxDate and contains the following values: Today, Yesterday, This Week, This Month.
A list box titled: lstArea contains the following values: Zone A, Zone B, Zone C, All.I am trying to figure out if there is a way through code to select, in this example, "Yesterday" in the cbxDate and "Zone B" in the lstArea on the webpage.If anyone knows of a solution, please feel free to let me know. Be advised that I am using the Ax Web Browser Control.

I am creating a Windows Form exe using VB2008. The documentation for VB2008 says "Multi-selection is not supported on CheckedListBox". But it works very well in debug mode. I cannot change the properties of the control in the IDE but I can run the following statement (clbProj is a CheckedListBox control) in the load event and it implements the multi-selection on the control.
clbProj.SelectionMode = SelectionMode.MultiSimple
I run many tests in debug mode with this option and it works every time. The program processes every checked item in the list and works as expected.
However, when I compile the program and start the exe, it throws an error saying "Multi-selection is not supported on CheckedListBox".

I have a project that has several combo boxes on one form. The selection in a box can affect the possible choices in subsequent boxes. Right now I am using SelectedValueChange to fire the code that loads the choices in the later boxes. There are a number of possible events that I could use:SelectedIndexChangedLeaveLostFocusTextChangedI was wondering if someone could give me a rough idea what the differences are between these. Is there a 'best' evnet to use?Also, I find that most events work when the choice is made with a mouse click but if you click in the box and type in a value an event does not fire. How can I program for the case where the user enters a value by typing it in instead of choosing from the drop down list?

Just getting started in VB.NET. I would like to add X-number of text boxes at run time. And then be able to address them by their index or some sequential numerical value (like an array)

I'm studying as a mature student for a Computing Degree (encompassing web design, hardware, programming and systems analysis). The programming seems to be my weak spot this year. This program is supposed to allow the user to check items in a checked list box. If the item is checked, it goes into the Completed List Box on the right. The program then adds the unchecked items to the Pending list box on the left. I keep getting placement values (e.g. O,1,2) instead of the strings (e.g. "Key Returned") in the list box results (see photo attached)

I have set a custom format for DTP control to dd/MM/yy. lets consider a real time scenerio. I have a form to enter Invoices for that i have following controls on my form 1] DateTimePicker, 2] CustomerName ComboBox, 3] Quantity, 4] Amount o.k. the Custom Format for DTP is set to 'dd/MM/yy'. When i first add entry i set the focus to DTP Control After changing date user moves focus to ComboBox then Quantity then Amount & Finally Clicks Save Button. And again hits Add Button and the cycle continues.
Now when user changes 'month'in DTP & go ahead and save the entry when he add another new entry the focus is on DTP however in the month region of DTP where it is expected in 'Date' region of DTP b'cas it is not likely that user will change month every time but he may change Date every time. This enforces user to mannualy select the desired region (either by Left Arrow Key or by Clicking Mouse button in the desired region). So after receiving focus i want the cursor tobe in the 'Date' region of DTP. Kindly help me writting correct statement to set focus to the control in the desired region (section) in DTP control.

A couple of questions about the FolderBrowserDialog in VB .NET Express 2005...
1. How can I make it so this control allows selection of multiple folders at a time?
2. It remembers the folder I selected last time (in the same session), and highlights that folder, which is good, but that selected folder appears near the bottom of the window. Is there a way to make it so the previously selected folder appears in the middle of the window (i.e. the scroll bar is further down the window)? See screen shot attached for how it currently looks when the window opens.

I have a list box on a form and it works fine for what I want to do.I am wanting to edit items on the form, this means populating the listbox and then selecting the relevant items.
My listbox contains a list of item sizes, i want to select the sizes which belong to the item being edited.
can someone give me some pointers.I tried me.lstItemSizes.SetSelected(i,true) but this only works for a single item.

i have two pages.1.aspx and 2.aspx i have a drop down list on the first page and a back and sumbit button on the second page..If i make a selection in the drop down list and go the second page and then go the the first page again with the back button. the drop down list doesnt show the selection that i did.i tried the use "sessions" but didnt work, also tried postback but no luck. I am using visual studio vb 2005 and I searched the forums for an answer to this but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. I am using the following code to populate a list box. What I want is to have a datagrid view show the results of a dataset that is generated when a user selects something from the list box. I know how to generate the dataset, but I'm not sure how to bind that to a datagrid view and I'm not sure what event I should use from the list box.[code]

The idea with this form is to add the futures which is calculated when the button is pushed but I need the list to update every time and show the values each time to which the previous value is added to the new calculation, e.g. of what it should look like in listbox:
Year 1: $1,290.93
Year 2: $2,724.32
