The remarked area works fine when I'm accessing a specific table. I've successfully inserted the products_model field into the combobox too. The datagridview does show the table names in the db using the SHOW TABLES sql statment, but I'm not understanding how to get this info into the combobox instead.

Sep 23, 2010IN one application, I need do the following: When user press one button, show a combo box with ptoducts kinds, and the application create a new record in the database. Next, and automatically, I wanna another form to be opened, with all the complementary values of this products, for the operator complete the values.My problem is: The form cant be the same, cause each kind of product show one different form Open the detail form, how can I know what record ID was created??
In later use, the products will show in DGV and double click works. But at the product open, I wanna this form apeear automatically.

Dec 9, 2010I need to be able to double-click a row or column in a row to use a field (in this case the Student ID field, the 4th column if counting form 0) to get that row from a database onto a separate form and be able to edit and save it. I have no idea how to make this happen since it is not covered in the class beyond basically displaying database data in DataGridView, I chose to use this functionality in my final project (to be fancy I guess) with the thought that it will be easy to accomplish but am finding it is not quite as easy as I thought. Datagridview Double-click Events Not Firing?
Jan 14, 2011I have a windows form that can search for data and the results are results are returned in a Datagridview. The Datagridview is bound to a custom datatable object. On the CellDoubleClick and CellContentDoubleClick events, a new form is supposed to open which will display the results of that row. What I am noticing is that the datagridview doesn't always fire when I immediately double-click on a particular row. It would appear that I have to first click on the row to "select" it, then double-click the row so the event will fire. Is there a way to remove this intermediate "select" step? Is there a property in the Datagridview that needs to be activated so the double-click events will fire right away? Does something possibly need to be done in another DatagridView event?

Sep 2, 2009I would love some help on how to get a DataGridView's Row & Column location on a mouse double click. My program requires that I dynamically add n-number of tabpages with DGV's so I declare my own class that inherits TabPages and creates its own DGV control.
For the code below I use a simple form (form1), add a tabcontrol via the forms designer (tabcontrol1) to it and remove the two default tabpages keeping the basic tabcontrol.

The only exception is when I position the cursor between DGV cells and get the double arrow. Dec 1, 2010I'm having a problem with my DataGridView. When I double-click on any column, with exception to Date & Time, the grid advances by 1. As you can see the 2nd row is highlighted in blue, I actually double-clicked on the first one, under "Sent By." (See attached image)

Flickering - Double Buffered Picturebox - Not Double Buffere - Black Screen With The White Lines
Nov 17, 2010I have a htpc project that I am working on. The main program loads dll plugins which are basically other win forms. On each of these forms, including the main program, I use a picturebox (a double buffered picturebox) for the background image and then draw everything on it by hand. Whenever I load the form from the dll and show it, I get a weird flicker. It looks like it is the previously used double buffer. Is there any way to clear the background double buffer before the flicker? Or am I going in the wrong direction?

VS 2008 DataGridView: How To Show Row #'s
Feb 16, 2010This is a simple one, but I haven't seen a way to do it. I have a DataGridView that is bound to a Sql-Server database, and it works fine. The only thing I'd like to add is the row # at the beginning of every row. Yes, I COULD set the first column as "RowNUm" and maintain it that way, but it seems that having the row # on each row should be a feature already provided to us. So, is there a way to have the DataGridView display a row number for each row?
