Stop Editing, Display A Msgbox, And Highlight The Particular Cell?

I have a datagridview and in the _CellValidating event I am checking a cell to make sure it is filled in. If it is not, I want to stop editing, display a msgbox, and highlight the particular cell. Here is my code :

For some reason, I can't get the cell's backcolor to be filled in.

Im making a web browser (well I only want one page) but I want to stop the highlight scrolling, I've stopped the scrollbars and scrolling with the space key but highlighting still works. I did a bit of research and one said to put a transparent image over the top, but when I put a transparent background It turns grey so I can't even see the web browser.

I have a message box as follows:
MsgBox "This will delete all staff data and re-import data from the HR file. Are you sure you want to continue?", 36
which will give Yes and No buttons. I want the macro to continue if the user clicks Yes, and to stop if the users clicks No. I know this is probably very simple, but I'm just a humble accountant trying to teach myself some basic VB :)

I am working on a page where I need to highlight different events in a day with different colors in a ASP.NET Calendar Cell. The events are store in a database with a start date column.
For example, if we have two different events for today, the cell should display half green and half red color. If there are three events for today, it would 1/3 green, 1/3 red, 1/3 blue in the cell for today.
In addition, currently I use tooltip in jquery to hover a cell, it would display a tooltip above the cell. How to handle this when we have different events in one cell?

Does anyone know how to highlight or change the color of text inside a datagridview cell? Not change the back or fore colors of the whole cell, but only for a particular word inside the cell. This is to make the search results more visible to the user.I tried doing it in the Cell_Formatting event of the datagridview but I'm only seeing options to change values of the entire cell (e.CellStyle). If there was only a way to select text inside the cell and set the selected text's properties. Or if I could use some formatting tags around the text.

I have a problem with Data Grid. I'm calling my function in dataGrid.cell_endEdit and it doesn't work exactly the way I want it to. If I'm editing a cell and click in menu (or press ctr +s which means Save cell in my program), cell_EndEdit is not running. I know it is correct, but what can i do to save my changes in these cases?

I have a WinForms DataGridView control on a form. There are two fields in this DataGridControl:
Email Address
Resolved Email Address (calculated based on the input in Email Address)
After the user inputs or changes a value in Email Address, I want the value in Resolved Email Address to update based on a separate method. What event should I tie in to so that that the Resolved Email Address cell is updated after the Email Address cell is updated?I'm not sure where to put the event because the user could do a number of things after adding/changing a value: tab to the next cell, click cancel on the form, click ok on the form, etc.

I am adding an undo feature for a DataGridView using the Command Design Pattern. To create the EditCommand, I have to know what was the previous value of the cell, so I can re-enter it in case the user hits undo. I'm doing it using the CellBeginEdit and CellEndEdit events. With the CellBeginEdit, I save the value of the cell in a private variable and at the CellEndEdit function, I use the saved value to create the EditCommand. It's working fine, but I wonder if there is a more saner way to do it. Maybe a event that holds together the previous and the new cell value. Bonus points if I could actually prevent the DataGridView from updating itself and let the EditCommand do it.

I am trying to trigger a tool tip when a user enters a cell in a DataGridView and starts editing it. The idea being that I want the user to know to hit the Return key after they are finished typing in a string in the cell. I only want the tool tip to show when the user is editing a cell in columindex 1.

I am trying to display a custom control in a datagridview cell so that I can show nicely formatted information.
I am quite comfortable with the use of datagridview control accepting a list of objects as its datasource. I am also comfortable with populating the cell contents in the cellformatting event.
So I am planning to, instead of using a normal textbox control, button control and linkedtext control in datagridview cell, display my own custom control which is good one for displaying some custom data like, name, address, telephone, photo and others. It would be a nice improvement in my application.

I have a problem in timers, I want to display 2 forms each one after 3 and 5, how to do that? I mean when the first form appears, after 3 seconds another one will appear, then after 5 seconds the second will appear. I have a code where someone gave me here but its for message box only, thus I modify it to put a form still does not work. Here the code I put in the timer below:

I still have problem when the message box stops, it displays all the forms together. All I want is when the message box stops, then it display the first form then stop to display the second then stop to display the last. The first form must stay for 3 seconds on the screen, then after 3 seconds the second appears then after 5 seconds the last appears.

I have pulled some records in DataGridView from database. Now I want that when I select some rows from DataGridView and click on command button, ID's of all selected rows should be displayed through message box. By using followng code I am able to display ID but problem is, "When I select multiple rows and click on Button, msgbox shows only the ID of later selected row, I'm using Visual Basic for Windows Form.

I programmatically create a datagridview in my program. When the user first enters the datagridview with the mouse, the cursor changes to edit mode (thin vertical line) regardless of which cell is entered. I just want the cell highlighted (in selection mode I assume) as issubsequently done when the cursor is moved to a new cell.
