I'm looking for some simple code that lets me create a Microsoft Access table via code.Currently all I do in Access is write and retrieve data from specific tables but now I want to be able to create them at runtime. Here is an example of the code I use to load some data just so you can get a feel of what I'm currently doing. Hopefully there is an easy way using the same rough way that I'm currently dealing with databases.

I have looked around google and downloaded several program with no luck. I have a Microsoft Access 2000 DB which my web app connects to and now published the website with a MS SQL Server DB 5.0. I'm trying to write code to create a new database and then create tables within the database.
I'm running into a strange problem right now, which is the fact that I was able to create a new database ok on either the regular SQL Server instance, or the SQLEXPRESS instance. However, when I attempted to create a table, I got an error message saying that there is already a table of the same name.
When I tried to connect to the new database via SQL Server Management Studio, I could see the database. However, there are no tables in it! So, theoretically, I'm creating a brand new blank DB, so there should not be anything in this DB, right? and I should be able to create any tables I want in it!
Here is the code that I have so far:

I just have one simple form with a button on it. The click event on this button calls the CreateAllDBs() routine.

This may seem like a simple problem, but I am completely baffled. I am working on a timekeeping application using Visual Basic 2008 Express and Access 2000.
There are three tables being updated by three separate sub routines. Two work fine, one does not.
In trying to resolve the issue I test one field at a time. The test Access query and the code only reference the one field to change and two ID fields. The program runs but the field is not updated. The table has 42 fields to be updated when I get it working.
The Access query is:

UPDATE tPPSummary SET W1MonHours = [@W1MonHours]
WHERE EmployeeID=[@EmployeeID] AND PPID=[@PPID];

When I pause the running program at the intRowsAffected it shows 1 record which is correct.
I am really out of options as tho where to go from here. There are no simple spelling errors in the parameters, there are no error messages and the sub runs to the end.

This is probably a simple process but I can't seem to accomplish it for the life of me. What I'm trying to do is transfer user inputted data from a Visual Basic text box into an Access database. There are two combo boxes taking user's inputs to return a record in an Access Database satisfying the requirements. This procedure is controlled by a button. However, when it reads "da.Fill(dt, "NETP_ParaList")". It reports error saying that "ArgumentException was unhandled; Object is not an ADODB.RecordSet or an ADODB.Record. Parameter name: adodb" I have no idea what this talking about.

I have 2 databases that I am working with. One is a compant customer database and the other is my personal call log. Now I am creating a front end for the Call Log. I was updating my customer list by Importing 2 tables from the customer database, a series of queries would erase all of my info, take all the data from the imported tables and move it into mine then erase the imported tables.
Im trying to accomplish the same in my VB frontend. I can connect and fill datasets from the customer database. I can erase my tables. How do I take all of this data from the newly created dataset and move it over to my empty tables?

I'm building an aplication with an MS Access database behind the scene. In many of my forms I'm gonna use DataGridViews to show data from the database, not an entire table but data based on manually built queries. So, I have few questions without answers, by now. Solutions or 1. I haven't decided how will I bring the database into the project: from the menu -> Add New Data Source, or within the code, at runtime. I still don't know which one's best or why.2. I have two Access database, say database One.mdb and Two.mdb. I want to use VB2005 to export tblCustomer from One.mdb to Two.mdb, and replace the existing tblCustomer in Two.mdb, during run time. I basically want to simulate the export function that is available in MS Access (which can export one table from one Access database to another) with VB2005 during run time. I can think of a way by querying the table to a dataset and then delete everything on the other database before filling the table in that database with the dataset. However, there should be something simpler and faster than that, shouldn't it? Any idea?

I have a small problem, I have written a small application to update a database table. Now on my computer I have a copy of the database but using MSDE 2000 and when I run my application it works perfectly, however I also have a copy of the database attached to MS SQL 2005 on another computer. Now when I got an run my application on this machine, it fails with a "Time out" error. I have changed the timeout settings on the SQL Server however it then just sits there for ages, whereas when I run it on my development machine MSDE 2000 it loops through the code quickly.

I have produced some VBA in Access that creates a spreadsheet.I have also created an SQL query that retrieves records from an Access table.I have 48 tables (each table for a specific institution centre).I have created another bit of VBA code that creates a spreadsheet and loads the records from the query in to the spreadsheet.Each centre has a unique Sequence Number (Indent Number)At the moment though, all I can do is import one table (records for one institution) in to a spreadsheet. I want to end up with calling the function and having an output of 48 spreadsheets being saved to my desktop, each spreadsheet containing records of a different center.I have thought about putting a loop in, but not sure how I would quite go about it.

I recently upgraded my system to Windows 7 64bit and ever since then I have had nothing but issues with my code attempting to access an Oracle database. I was using msdaora for my connection string however that does not work in 64bit. I changed over to OraOLEDB.Oracle which everything I can find on Google says to use however it fails every time. I have installed Oracle 11g 2 times now and even tried reinstalling VB.net 2010 and still no luck.
Here is my connection string....

I have an SQL statement which i need to code in vb:

Notice the fields prodno1 and prodno2 in the table structure.. this is part of a number of sql statements i need to run and put inside a loop. my problem is i want to automatically use this same code such that on the next loop, this sql statement is going to be:

Note that in this "2nd loop"
- the table name is now r3 from r2 in the first SQL statement
- there are now prodno1, prodno2 and prodno3 instead of just prodno1 and prodno2
- in the WHERE clause, the p.prodNo becomes p.prodNo2
And so on and so forth.. so for the 3rd loop
- there's going to be r4
- there's going to be prodno4
- in the WHERE clause i will use p.prodNo3
