I am loading a Gridveiw for a stored procedure-that works well. What I am having trouble with, is when the user clicks the select button. That should return the value of the row, (I cant seem toreturn the selected row value?)

I am creating a program that allows a user to view a list of foods in a combo box, add that food unto a list box, and adds all of the calories of that food together. When the user highlights their select food, the program automatically shows the amount of calories for that particular food in a text box. The program is getting the food and calorie information from an access database. I managed to get all of the food calories to add up properly, however, I ran into a problem. Sometimes, well, most of the time, when I select certain foods from the combo box, the program automatically reselects another random food, usually a food that begins with either an A, B, or C. Also, the other random food that the program chooses usually has the same amount of calories as the food I originally wanted to choose. I have over 6,000 items in the database. I don't understand why this is happening. This is what my code looks like for the button that adds each food to the list box:

I have no idea what to try. It's like the program just skips over random foods, even though all of the information for them is in the database.
I'm creating a BASIC application, and I can't figure out how to save a user selected file (FolderBrowserDialog) to a location selected in another dialog (SaveFileDialog).
I have a vb.net application that uses Flash movies (AxShockwaveFlashObjects.AxShockwaveFlash). I have buttons in the flash movie. When they first start using the application, they can single click on the buttons in the flash movie and button responds accordingly. But after a while (and I haven't been able to pin-point an exact thing that changes it or my issue would be solved), the user has to double-click on the button in the flash movie for them to work.
I have a datagridview(dgProducts) a textbox (txtproductsTotal)
and second textbox (txtAddproducts)
When the user clicks on the selected row in the datagridview it shows the selected row in the txtaddproducts textbox. That works fine.
But I can't seem to get the total of the selected rows into the txtproductstotal textbox which shows the total amounts of the selected rows. I get each selected row as I click on it, and it replaces but not adds to the amount ( cumulative)of the prior selected row.
I do know how to get the row count of the datagridview but that only gives me a total count off all of the amounts ( RetailPrice) in the entire datagridview, not the selected row as I click on them. So my question is how do I get the SelectedRow count and not the row count.[code]...

Ive got a listview and when someone double clicks an item i want it to process some code unique to that item. Using something like 'Switch' would probably be a good way to go about this but i dont know how to do this.
for some reason I have to click a node in a treeview twice for it to register as selected. I've checked with treenode.isselected() and treeview.selectednode() and with both two clicks is required to show the selected node (1 click continues showing the previously selected node as selected) while the visual highlight/selection works perfectly with 1 click. Any suggestions on what may be wrong/how it could be fixed? (The node selection code is in the nodeclick event)

I have to hidden buttons on my page that I can trigger using JavaScript (__dopostback...). I also have a list of object on my page and a dropdownlist giving the user the possibility to sort those objects on the page. My code checks the current value of the dropdownlist on Databind of the list and applies the chosen sort method to the list. The first button is triggered when the user has selected another sort method from the list.
The second button is triggered when the user adds a new item to the list. Sortmethod "sort2" should be set automatically in the dropdownlist if this happens. So when the second button has been clicked, I need to set the selected item of the dropdownlist dynamically so I can check the value of the selected value later in the DataBind method of the dropdownlist and know what sort method should be applied.
I don't succeed in changing the selected value dynamically. I'm using to controls: First is the objects.vb and the second is the ObjectContainer.vb. Objects.vb contains the two buttons, the dropdownlist and an instance of the objectcontainer. The objectcontainer contains the list with objects that needs to be sorted based on the value selected in the objects control.

This is what I'm looking for however, paired with the ability to simulate the click while not being on that form. I believe this would require the coordinates to be relative to the form itself also. I'm not sure if this is all possible in Visual Basic, however I've seen it utilized in Actionscript and Java.
I have an application going here Form1 has a panel on it named TargetPnl. I need my TargetPnl to display my user control named Vviewer when I click my SearchBtn and also need it to disappear when I click another button.
I have 2 drop down lists and 1 submit button. It works such that after the user has selected values from BOTH the drop down lists, then the user will click a "Search" button. My problem is, after the user click the "Search" button, the second drop down list is no longer displayed with the selected value, instead it displayed a default value. May I know how can I make sure the selected value remain selected even after the user clicks the "Search" button on the page?

Here's the issue in a nutshell (I can elaborate if you feel it's needed). In a DataGridView I want to capture the value of the row's key column so that when the user clicks on a column header to sort the data, I can reposition to the row that was selected prior to the click. The ContextMenuStrip tied to the ListView control. However, the right click option (edit)appear where ever i click on the ListView area, this gives me exceptional error because the implementation of edit can only cope with a selected row. I only want it to appear when on a selected row (blue highlighted row). How can i do it?
I have 13 variables, all called Items1, Items2, Items3 and so on. I have a combo box with items in, each time I click a button I want it so whatever is selected is stored in a variable and if the button is selected again then it stores whatever is selected in the next variable. I'm curious if there is a "check all" kind of thing for a tablelayoutpanel? For example: the user browse to C:windows (it isn't important where maybe desktop) through explorer and select a file ( he/she just select it, not open ). the moment that the file is being selected, how can I get info about that file? I'm building an online shop, but have run into a problem.When the user click that they want to add a product to their basket, i add the product ID to an array that is held on the session.This all works great and i display how many items they have selected etc..The problem comes when i get to the checkout page.Whats the best way of displaying the items that the user has selected? should i use a datagridview? if so, how do i pass the array into the SQL in order to get all the data rows that i need?
