I have this code where I get all the IP's connected to the network.[code]...
But my LAN game is sending to those IP's that are connected to the network. but not yet opened my game. what I want is how do I code that the tcplistener or tcpclient will tell the host that they are active.....so that If they are active...their IP's are the only one's who will receive.
Could anybody give me code to connect with GSM mobile and send sms through it?

View 4 RepliesI want to send a simple command, such as "v20" followed by a carriage control character, to a heating/cooling block connected to a desktop computer running Windows XP. I am able to get the commands to work within a terminal emulator. I want to compile a simple program that will be executed by software used to control a liquid handling robot.I've looked at the how to send strings to serial ports in visual basic page and modified that code ever so slightly to send the data that I want. However, it does not work and my heating/cooling block is not changing temperatures.

USB is a Serial port but IT IS NOT COM PORT. So, I don't want the method of connecting the COM port with VB.Net. I want a USB method or any helpfull idea or code.

On my program I am trying to make a ToolStripStatusLabel's text change to "connected" if connected to a network and if not connected to a network change the text to " Not Connected" then I don't know how to display a image if connected to a network or not connected. So if the computer is connected to a network I have a image that I would like to be displayed next to the ToolStripStatusLabel. And if not connected to a network, can the program display a different image? I tried this:

View 2 RepliesI have a program that reads a barcode scanner to populate a field of a database, I should say that that specific program is a standard application and I can't modify it.
The issue I am having is that the computer must have the focus on that program and in the capture screen for the barcode scanner to function properly. I would like for the PC to be able to do other things and at the moment the barcode is used it directed the scan to the proper window. The window for the program may be oppened but not necesarily have the focus.
I know how to catch the input from the scanner, but what can I do to send the data to the other program?

View 1 RepliesI am trying to figure out how VB can focus a specific program and then send commands to the program only. The focus would only be for the commands and would not make the program you are currently in lose focus. Simply, what it is controlling is a Windows Application called GOM Player. I use it to study my material for school. I plays movies in it and don�t have to click out of the application I am working in to pause, play or rewind. The keypad and the company who make it actually have it built into iTunes and it does exactly what I want GOM Player to do.
The reason I dont just use iTunes is because I can�t get my video files to play in iTunes. After pulling teeth with the manufacture I finally to tell me that the iTunes functionality is accessible via plugins built into iTunes. So trying to mimic what is being done there does not help. I believe that a knowledgeable VB programmer could answer my question in seconds, but having some experience with coding and programing I know it also could be a lot more than what I think. [URL]

I wonder if it is possible to find a specific row and specific columns in data base file (Access) . You see , I am using a DataGridView control to show only SOME of the columns (fields) of a table from an Access file . For example , lets say that in the DataGridView control I only show the following fields :Field1 , Field2 and Field3 .Now , when the user selects an entry in the DataGridView control , I want to insert the text from Field4 into a text box on the form .
The problem , however , is that I don't know how to get the specific row in the data base file and also I don't know how to get the text in column (field) Field4 of that row .One thing that might be important is that the index of the row in the data base file is not necessarily the same with the index of the current row in the DataGridView control . This is because in the DataGridView control the rows are order by the contents in the ID Field .ol .

What I want to do is when I click on each grid on the form (Touch Screen), a tooltip of some stored information about the grid appears on screen. For example, if I click my mouse on square 6,8 then some stored information such as grid number, grid name, level...etc appears on the tooltip on the screen.

Now as you can see it is sending the textbox1 text and then pressing enter then sending textbox2 text! Theres quite a few problems in that but before i discuss note: This code is in a Timer. Problem #1: It does not send the keys fully correct all the time because its trying to send them all at once! So i want it to send them 1 letter after the other with 200 ms sleep in them! Problem #2: The sleep is not working: The reason i know is because even after it did the first textbox1 text it didnt wait that 2000 ms!
