I have an admin section of my program to change particulars. To activate this you click the admin button the launch..then type a password. I dont want people to know there is even an admin button.... anyone know how i can assign a button combo (such as ALT+B) to show and hide that RBTN so other people cant see that admin is an option

i'm currently making a program that converts every letter into some other letter creating a secret message that only this program can convert back into english. Could some help me with the convert code? I understand i would need 2 textbox's and 1 button at the least.The button would place textbox1.text into textbox2.text then it will convert lets say (if textbox2.contains "a" then) i dont know after that. i would want it to change the "a" to "g" instead. without doing any other change. [code] Now this is just converting the letter "a" to letter "g". I would want the whole alphabet.

View 2 RepliesI have a button on my form where I'm showing a ContextMenu when the user left clicks on it, I'm actually using MouseUp right now to show it.What I would like to have happen is the user click on the button, the button stays pressed while the ContextMenu shows, it returns to normal when the ContextMenu closes (Either a menu item was selected, the user hits the escape key or they click/tab to somewhere else). Also I'd like to position the ContextMenu in the lower left corner if the menu opens down or the top left corner if it opens up. So the left edge of the ContextMenu is flush with the left edge of the button.Moreso the button staying pressed until the ContextMenu is closed.
Edit: I'm also ok with this being it's own control inheriting the FW's Button that used the assigned ContextMenu as well.
How to fix the error in code..this code will always display msg box if user select ot nt slect the checkbox .. but i want if user doesn't select any of the checkbox or forgot to select checkbox then msg box will ppear other wise redirect to other page ..

View 6 RepliesIs there any way to turn the damned error provider off when i try to close the form using the windows close button(X). It fires the validation and the user has to fill all the fields before he can close the form..this will be a usability issue because many tend to close the form using the (X) button. i have placed a button for cancel with causes validation to false and it also fires a validation.

View 10 RepliesI got a couple of issues with my windows application VB.Net. I seem to cannot set the form to be invisible before it shows up for a second, there is no option in the properties of a form and also if I set the form to visible = false before the form is loaded it doesn't work.
So this does not work:

and this does work but the form shows up for a second which I am still not very happy with

View 36 RepliesI have a form with 12 text boxes. I'm trying to get the data from those text boxes to "save", and when that form is opened again have the data be inserted back. This form has different time slots so I need to be able to have it save and repopulate based on what time slot I am clicking on. I was going to have it read the data by splitting it with commas, then inserting them back into the correct fields but it's not working. I had it write the results to a text file and they get written correctly and inserted back, but the problem with that is it only reads that text file so every time slot I open up gets the same data.
Below is code I used to get the data when the Save button is clicked. [Code]. Problem is I get an error saying "Char values cannot be converted to Integers" on the first line, the (","c) part.

As you can see, it is receiving a single piece of data from a remote SQL server, I then need to run this data through the above calculations (Seen in the PHP file) although the answers I'm getting are incorrect.
