According to the facebook documentation To create a new, empty photo album, POST the album name and optional description to [url] I'm using the Facebook Graph Toolkit. This tool makes uploading images very easy but unfortunately, it does not currently have the capability to create a photo album before uploading. I contacted the author of the toolkit and he said that the source code was available. This was a huge help but unfortunately, even after seeing how he post photos, I was unable to to succesfully create an album. Here is my

VS 2010 File Count - Create A Photo Album

Mar 4, 2011

I have a program that I am making and need it to be able to search a folder (within a given path, e.g. C:UsersAdminMy Pictures) and return a count of all the files in the folder that are of a certain association, e.g. jpg, into a variable.

The reason I want to do this is to create a photo album (bit like what you see on facebook) where the program searches a folder for all jpg files and loads the count into a variable. Then the user can scroll through the jpg's. I can already get the scrolling bit not a problem but that is only when I manually set the file count myself. Below is the code I use but I need to automate the maximum file count

Find A VB Express 2005 2008 Photo Album Tutorial Project From About 3 Years Back

Oct 6, 2011

About 3 years ago i came across a vb project for a photo album, it was on online tutorial and I followed it and after some custom tweaking I found it was quite usefull. Unfortuatly the original sourcecode has long since vanished. The project was fairly easy to follow and I remember the author had a photo image of his sailing boat and a yellow labrador (just trying to jog some memories here) :).

Anyway; I have searched high and low for it but can not find it. I'm pretty sure it was on a msdn or some other microsoft forum and was to do with VB 2005 or VB 2008 edition of Visual studio.

2010- Sorting A Set Of Labels Against The Previous Set In Order To Check The Answer And Accuracy?

Apr 23, 2012

I have a program which is made with 12 labels, the first set of six are randomly generated and the second set are values obtained from the first set and the user has to choose in ascending order the numbers on the first set.The values chosen will be trasferred to the second set and then with a "check" button that set of labels have to be rearranged and compared to the user input. If the user for example manage to choose the right order, he will obtained a 6 of 6 and he will recieve a message. My problem is on the rearrage and compare part.

The code I made is very simple but is not working, basically it only check if the next value is smaller that the previous and changed its back color according to the case.

Here the code:

'check button
Private Sub Button3_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button3.Click
Dim Score As Integer
Score = 1

[code]....

I would like to have a correct rearrange of the numbers and introduce a message according to the accuracy of the user.

Sortable DatagridView From Stored Procedure Via Web Service?

Sep 9, 2009

I've noticed that I can use LINQ to call a SQL Stored Procedure and use those results in a datagridview and have sorting by column automatically included. However, if the LINQ call is done on a web service, it seems like I have to return the results as an array which, when it gets back to the client, doesn't have the interface needed by the datagridview control to do it's sorting. I haven't been able to find an easy way to get the sorting ability back.

I've tried to serialize the result on the web service but the returned type can't be serialized. I tried putting the data context in a common DLL so I could use the Attach functionality but that doesn't exist for stored procedures. I suppose I could make a table in the data context just for this purpose but that will be a pain to maintain. Would I just be better off skipping LINQ and using an old fashioned typed dataset for this?

Asp.net - Making A Listview Sortable When It Doesn't Contain A Layouttemplate And Built In Codebehind

Sep 6, 2011

I have a page of checkboxes, I select a few of them, click submit, and go to a second page. on this page, I have a listview that is built using the checkboxes selected on the previous page. Now I'm wondering how i can add sortability to this listview.

In the past I would add CommandName='sort' CommandArgument='column' to the link on the header in the LayoutTemplate. But since my listview has it's header row outside of the listview, this doesn't seem to work. This is what I have so far:

<!-- header row (outside of listview, when I try to put it as a LayoutTemplate in listview i get an error, see below) -->
<table>

[Code]....

I've tried to add a templatelayout in the listview, but that gives me an error on the line that binds the data (listview.databind() ), i'm assuming because this isn't possible.

get a sortable header row on this listview?

Log / Store Info And Display In Sortable Multiple Column ListBox

Mar 31, 2011

I am wriing a vb.net windows application to log and store information. then display it in a sortable multiple column listbox (I personally like FlexGrid by Component One). However... I am not sure how to go about storing the information. Should I go with a .sdf file database, registry, simply storing them in a file, or some other method?

What I need is to be able to:
read/write/delete from it
read possibly up to a 20mb file and sorting it without a lot of lag
be transported to multiple systems and maintain these writes (installed on many systems)

I know I could split up the reading/writing to anther thread. Even to other .DLL's and whatnot. But as for storing. Not sure what the best option is.
