when i change the startup window on the application settings it still doesnt apply the change i made
for example i change the startup for to reservation but the startup form in execution is still the client form
I am a beginner using 2008 Express and I am trying to get my application to remember and restore some combobox values. It seems to work fine if the application is opened and closed normally but for some reason it loses the settings if it is opened from the startup folder.
Here is how the startup link is formed:

I want to make check if the saving path settings is available or not (drive)
If not so it got a default value which is application path
I tried to Change the default settings in the My.Settings by writing "Application.startuppath"But the application accept it as a string is there any way do dodge this problem?

My problem is this: I am creating an application which will be used in a setting where an "administrative" user (admin in this case does not denote any computer ability whatsoever- just the one in control of the computer) will be installing my application onto a computer where several users will likely use the application. To get to the main form, the user must enter at least 10 characters into that textbox. The startup form is then always just the main form if they get it right. If there isn't 10 characters when submit is pressed, the program exits.
It needs to be reasonably secure, ie not just a text file in the same folder called 'unlocked' or something.Preferably a hidden registry entry to store whether the main form has been unlocked or not.
i deleted my previous start up form to be replaced by another one but each time i launch the application,the deleted start up form is still displayed.i dont know from where this deleted start up form is being loaded.

It seems implied you cannot create new user settings.subobjects at runtime. I'm looking to find the easiest way to save a populated array of PictureBox's. I want to programmatically change the Startup and Recovery options in Windows Server 2008? To be more specific...
- I'm writing my application in VB.NET 2.0 using VS2008
- I want to enable "Automatically restart"
- I want to set "Write debugging information" to none
That's it. I found a thread that speculated it might be do-able using System.Management but after looking through the documention in the library I can't find which might do that.
Note: It looks like this might be possible using BCDEdit (which I could call through a Shell command) but I can't find the syntax for that either. I only mention it because that would be a solution to my problem if it can't be done internally from the program I'm writing.
'm working on a Windows form application using VS 2008. I'm starting to get more and more forms in my application. There are times when I would just like to view the form I'm working on. Is there a way to view a form without having to change the startup from to the form you want to view?
