Get A Blank Form When Choose Start Debugging?

Choose The 'blank' Value, It Will Not Let Me Past That Field
Aug 7, 2009I have a combo box defined as a drop down list for a numeric field and have possible values under items. One of the values I have is a blank value (at the top of the items list) in case the user needs to leave the value as null. However, when I choose the 'blank' value, it will not let me past that field. I tried changing the 'data source update mode' to 'Never' and it let me past the field but then of course it won't save ANY of the values I choose.Is there any easy way around this without having to change the field to a string? I have several like this.

Aug 18, 2007I am confused with the terms Build ,rebuild ,start , start without debugging in VS.NET.After writing the code what actually we want to do .We have to run directly by pressing F5 key or we have to build the solution .Usually i tried to run the application after coding and if shows any any errors i will fix that and run again .I never used build or rebuild thing .What exactly meant by building the solution .What is meant by rebuild and start without debugging.

Jul 24, 2009I have installed .net 2003 in a machine running Vista Ultimate. I have started by writing a simple 'Hello World' code but I get an "Unable to start debugging.."error when I try to start the code.The message tells me that I need to have adminastrative or debugger rights.

Nov 18, 2008I am working with visual studio 2008, developing a simple windows form app. in VB. but a very weird situation has presented itself (at least I think its weird).When I try F5 or any other way to start the debugger I get this message:"Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging.The debugger cannot connect to the remote computer. This may bebecause the remote computer does not exist or a firewall may be preventing communication to the remote computer. Please see Helpfor assistance."Needless to say, Help is Helpless.The weird thing about it is that this only appears if my computer is not connected to the home network and only in VB. When I try to debug on any other language it works fine, or if I connect to the network then VB debugs fine. I do not think I am using a remote debugger.

Using W7 x64 - never had this problem with VB 2008 express.

Feb 10, 2010I'm using visual studio express 2008, I wrote my code for a project and then when I tried to debug it I got a few errors but one main one that says this. Visual Studio cannot start debugging because the debug target "".exe is missing Please build the project and retry, or set the output path and assembly names appropriately to point at the correct location of the target assembly. Since this is my first time debugging a program with this particular instance of the program, I am in shock. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Dec 28, 2011Im trying to debug a troublesome Project. I downloaded and installed the Symbols from MS, set my Project to use the Folder where I installed them, etc. When I start Debugging, I can see at the bottom of my IDE window that it is loading Symbols at a rapid clip, until it gets to It stops, and I have tried waiting 15 minutes to no avail.

VS 2010 How To Choose Form At Startup
Aug 12, 2011I'm trying to make a program that will open a first-run form when the program is run for the first time. I'm planning on just using a setting in My.Settings.VariableName to keep track of the boolean value. My problem is that I cannot figure out how to choose what Form to open.
My first instict would be to use a Sub Main() as my program instance, and then choose and open forms from there, but I can't find a way of doing it. and Many a post suggest not doing it.
Second I tried using ApplicationEvents Myapplication_Startup, but this makes the form pop up before my splash screen, and doesn't stop my main form from showing.
