I have a telerik radgrid, like shown underneath [code]When I click one of the rows, it will display the password of the clicked row, like so:[code]That works fine. I am proceeding this way because the decryption of the password is a rather complicated and long process, so decrypting one password at a time is less time consuming, especially when the user doesn't need all the passwords.When I have the password displayed, I'd like to be able to select the password in the grid to copy it. Unfortunately, the radgrid will fire the "RowClick" item command once more, and the row gets de-selected. Therefore, I cannot copy the passwords. My question is: Is there a way to cancel the itemcommand of a radgrid under certain circumstances? I'd like to be able to disable the itemcommand event when the password is already decrypted.[code]

i would like to auto check for new version system update when the system is closing. When there is the new version system update, will automatically rename the active exe to FileName.old then copy new version of exe into the folder.
View 1 RepliesI'm creating a GroupBox at runtime and setting its Text property. Usually, the text is only on one line, but sometimes it wraps. The problem is that the controls contained in the GroupBox cover up the GroupBox's text.
What I'd like to do is determine if and when the text wraps. Specifically, I'd like to determine how much extra height the wrapped text takes up as compared to a single line. That way, I can reposition the GroupBox's controls and adjust its height.
Initially, I thought I'd do this by calling the GroupBox's CreateGraphics() method, and using the Graphics to measure the string. Something like this:

The problem is that the size generated by g.MeasureString(text, grp.Font) doesn't seem to be accurate. I determined that it wasn't accurate by putting enough of a single character to cause a wrap, then measuring the resulting string.
For example, it took 86 pipes (|) to until a wrap happened. When I measured that string, its width was ~253. And it took 16 capital W's to force a wrap - its string had a width of ~164. These were the two extremes that I tested. My GroupBox's width was 189. (a's took 29 and had a width of ~180, O's took 22 and had a width of ~189)
I have a small VB .Net application that, among other things, attempts to substitute system wide typed text by the user(hotstrings concept). To achieve that, I have deployed 'ahk2exe' and 'AutoHotkeySC.bin' with my application and did the following:When a user assignes a new 'hotstring':
Kill 'hotstring' exe script file if running Append new hotstring to the script file (if non exist then create a new one)Convert edited/new script file to exe (using ahk2exe)Run the newly converted script exe(somewhere there I also check if the hotstring has been already assigned)However, I am not totally satisfied with this method for the following two main reasons:
The extra resources deployed with the application. Lag: The time it takes for the system to kill the process and then restart it takes a minimum of 5 seconds on my fast computer and more on other computers. That amount of time is much more than the time it takes the user to assign the hotstring, minimize/close the window and then test his/her new hotstring. When the user does so initially with no success they will think the process failed. So this method is not very good for user experience.I am looking for a different method or implementation. May be using keyboard hooks? Or maybe adding a .dll library that achieves the same. Are there any resources you know about that might help (free or commercial)? What is the best way to achieve my desired goal?

View 2 RepliesI have a VS2010 solution (upgraded) that has two projects, an EXE and a DLL. In both the Target framework versions are 4.0. When one look at the references of the EXE project, one can see that the System.dll (and System.Core.dll and so for) references to the v4 version (the latest); however, in the DLL project the references points to the .Net Framework v2 version. Why is this happening? How can I make all my projects to point to the v4 libraries?

It works fine on my machine, and our test server, but it does not work on the production server. We installed the Oracle Client 11 on the server. View 9 RepliesI have an desktop application that references several dlls. All are targeted for .Net 3.5, x86. The applicaiton has been deployed for several years and was upgraded from visual studion 2008 to 2010 last year. I have made several changes to the app since then (as recently as last Thursday) with out any issues. Now, everything builds, but when I run the application, I get a type initialiazer error when one of the projects is loaded by the main application.
The error messsage is {"Could not load file or assembly 'System.Drawing, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.":"System.Drawing, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a"}.
There were no changes to this project since the last successfuly deployment last week, but today I am getting this error.
