Checking If A Number Is Between Two Numbers?

I have this:
dim nmbToCheck as Double = 15.22
dim nmb1 as Double = 12
dim nmb2 as double = 18
How do I check wheter nmbToCheck is between nmb1 and nmb2? I know I could use < and >, but the problem is that I won't be knowing which of the numbers will be smaller, and which will be larger, and it seems like a lot of code to write for such a small issue. There must be some sort of nmbToCheck.IsBetween(nmb1, nmb2) type solution to this, right?

So how would I use .next (random numbers) to randomly select something from a list of numbers but it can't repeat the number?I could do:
dim num as integer
dim r as new random
num = r.next(1,5)
if num = 1 then
elseif num = 2 then
etc.
That wouldn't work because it would repeat.If I donwload someone's game can I disect it in VS? :0 I tried going to open project, then I went to the folder and clicked open. It brought me inside of the folder so I tried to open the game but there is no form1 there. It says the games name then .exe in the explorer-like thing in the top right?Also, how would I have a value or something in a label and access it from a button.
Example:This is in a label.
Dim number as Integer
number = 0
Then in the button do
Label.number = 0
How would I do something like that? I want to use that a lot as I did in a different language.

I thought that this would be an easy way of checking if the txtBox only contains numbers. I was wrong.
if txtAnswer.Text = Not CInt("123456789") Then
I want the user only be able to put NUMBERS in the box. NO Spaces Commas Periods Breaks ... etc.
PS, i can't use NumericUpDown as the user needs to enter in the answer to an equation.

I need to write a program that requests a high number and a low number from the user, then the program searches the array and finds all elements within the two numbers. The program is used to search for past presidents, so if I type 43 for low number and 44 for high number, the program will display:

best way to check if a textbox has only 4 numbers and isNumeric, for example i need to enter postcodes.I currently have:
If CDbl(txtPostcode.Text) <> 4 Or Not IsNumeric(txtPostcode) Then
MessageBox.Show("Postcode must be 4 Digits", "Error")
But the message box comes up regardless of whether there is 4 numbers, letters, or anything in the textbox. Its also used in the leave function of the textbox.

I have a textbox which has a numeric value that changes - would it be possible to check if that value matches two numeric values in a text file? and if the value matches then to display some text in a label? The textfile only has fields displayed like so
Horizontal 55
Vertical 16
So I would only need to check if the numeric field in textbox matches the two numbers in the second column. In the past I have use System.IO.File to create/delete/append to files but I havent come across anything like contains.

[Code] What I'm having trouble with is that the numbers MUST be unique. So, only one 1, one 3, one 5, one 7. So I have it go through the second statements to randomize the object again if it's the same, but after it randomizes, I kind of need it to go back to the top to see if the number is even again.

I have an array for all 26 chars of the alphabet as a boolean. What I want to end up doing is have the program take the user's guess char and set the corresponding number in the array to true. I'm new to arrays and I have no clue how to begin doing this. this is how I am declaring my array. I'm trying to limit the number of decimal values to 3 in numbers such as .3125 but I also have numbers such as .5 which I need to leave as is.
how can I determine if a number is 4 decimal places and cut off the last number.. I don't want to round up either.. .3125 should be .312 not .313 and .5 should stay at .5 and not .500.

If I have say 5 numbers: 1, 29, 53, 95, 103 What would be the VB.net code for randomly selecting a number of those 5.
i.e) The random number has to be 1, 29, 53, 95, or 103 and has to be randomly generated.
I've tried using the Int(Rnd() * 104), but I do not know how to make it choose only these 5 numbers!
