Cannot View Hidden Fields When Page Index Change?

I use a GridView control with paging allowed, when i select a row in the first page i can retrieve the values of all the fields including the hiddenfields with the instruction (GridView1.DataKeys(GridView.SelectedIndex).Values(0)). The grid have all the DataKeyNames and I populate the gridwith a dataset i made coding.now the problem:when I change the paging of the grid the grid shows me the real data, but when I tried to select one row

I'm using simple data binding and have in total 3 fields on my Form and 2 of them are hidden. The two hidden fields are calculated by filling in the first one. bellow you find the code I'm using, when the update is done only the first field that is fill in is written to the Database. How can I change the code to get all 3 of them written to the Database

I have a parent page and child page, both aspx. All is working, but now I would like to close child page, if user leaves child popup page and goes back to parent page and clicks on something else like page index of Gridview. I CANNOT close popup child page if user goes to another app, or some other location, I only want to close if something on parent page is changed.
I have the PageIndexChange Event set up for other purposes, I would just like to add some functionality, perhaps a script manager to close the child popup page if the Gridview index is changed, java or another way which ever works best.I think I might also need to check if the child page is even open.

So i've been working on a page for a project where the person logs into a login page and then can see a list from the database of employees. everything is working except for one problem. If someone puts in a username and password, username= a and password=b, for example it still allows that individual to view the next page and doesn't throw the error that i have enbedded on the login page to say sorry you have the incorrect password/username. I have more than 30,000 rows in a table. It takes a lot of time to load all the data in the gridview. So I want to display 100 rows at a time. When I click next page button, another 100 rows should be displayed. When I click previous page button, previous 100 rows should be displayed. If I type page 5 in a text box, then I want to jump over to the 5th lot of rows.
I also want to display how many pages there will be. Can we implement this concept in vb.net [winform] gridview. I am using database PostgreSQL.

i have a form that displays data from a VIEW on SQL server. Now im told various things about views, some say you can update fields via a view and others say you cant, ive searched the web and my conclusion from that is "it depends" My VIEW is of two tables in the same db:

The values for the hidden fields are already set. I want these value to open a window, in which the fields will be already filled using the values passed by this page. This code is working fine on Internet Explorer, but not on other browsers. Moreover, when I don't pass any value and just open the required window, it works on all browsers.

I have an app with a tab control and multiple tabs. I am looking for a "reset all" function that will set an individual tab's contents back to their default state (typically null). I realize I can go through and set each to "", unchecked, etc but I was hoping there might be a single function that does this already (save a ton of coding time).

Let's say I have an edit view that is strongly-typed to a table called "MyData". The view has multiple tabs, each with several different fields from the table. For performance, the data is only loaded when the tab is viewed, so if you only edit a field on tab 1 and submit the form, the data for tab 2 will not be loaded.
The problem I'm running into is on the submit. I'm doing the typical routine of finding the existing record in the database and updating the passed values:

However, this method doesn't know which tabs were loaded, so if the tab with "desc" on it is not loaded, this method thinks the user blanked out the "desc" field, and sends NULL to the database.

I'm trying to figure out how to set the index of a combobox column in a datagrid view when I load it from SQL Server. The combobox has a string in the text field and an index in the value field, and I want to set the selected index to match the value to an ID in the row from SQL. How can I structure my classes so that the user interfaces though a single class while the supporting classes are hidden from their view? I think its best understood in an example:
Public Class MyInterface
Public Economic as EconomicClass
Public Sub New()
MyBase.New()

So you might ask why am I even separating them? It's strictly for others who will be working with this interface. I need to funnel them though a logical structure:
interface.Economic.MyMethod
interface.Currency.MyMethod
etc
This way everything is already handled for them in the background and they only need to run the method they need. I don't know if I can have it both ways in VB.NET.

I started a forms solution in VB 2008, created a datasource to an access database (2010) and used the datagrid view to display the data. 3 fields in the access database are lookup fields with 2-8 values each, typed in by me, since the linking to other fields did not work. This is not working either. When I change the column to combo-box or not, those values, typed into access, are NOT showing up in the datagrid. the combo box has its drop down arrow but the value fields are empty.

I have an ASP.NET page with a Wizard control containing several pages of form fields. The data is collected and inserted to a database from the code behind page. I need to set this form up so you can not only insert, but edit a record as well. Since the form is long and complex, I would rather use the existing one and not make a duplicate one for editing, especially since I want to keep both forms exactly the same and any edits would have to be made to both. But it looks like this is what I need to do if I'm going to databind it. But this would also involve putting the Wizard inside of a FormView, and then I'd have to use FindControl to access any of the fields which would mean altering all my already-existing code (which of course would be time-consuming). So should I manually enter all the values from the code behind instead of databinding it? Which is better, to use a FormView and have duplicate forms (plus have to go in and redo the way I access the fields), or to do everything from the code behind?

I'm working on a pretty simple project, just a WebBrowser app which is tailored for Webmail. I'm working on an OWA portion, and OWA normally doesn't allow the textfields on the Login page to be auto-filled. Is there a way I can force this? Search through the OWA login page code, find the fields, then fill in the fields with preset/saved data?

I need to get data from a web application. I dont have access to database or the source of the app(.net).The web app works like this -- enter values in fields, click submit button, and the data associated with these fields are returned in a modal popup. I have a table in my database that the fields of it are not fixed in number and name. in fact this table is the statistical report of other sections of my database.I want show this table in a data Grid View after finish calculation. I am just making the switch from WebForms to MVC and would like to ask what are the best ways of hiding particular fields in the view. Assuming we have a model named WishList that has a list of gifts kids want for Christmas and the child's name. We want the elves to view the list of gifts, but only Santa Claus can view the child's name. Would it be best to have two views for the WishList (one for Santa and one for the elves) or is there another way to handle this? My concern is that the number of views can start piling as high as the snow does in the North Pole by the time I enforce all of the visibility settings required in my application.
